Empowering Families:
Assistive Technology Solutions for Supporting Parents and Children Through Grief, Transition, Crisis, and Recovery
This session explores practical ways to integrate assistive technology (AT) tools to help families navigate challenging times while conserving their emotional and physical "spoons." Participants will discover strategies to support children with disabilities, manage busy schedules, foster emotional regulation, and promote self-care. Emphasis will be placed on accessible and affordable solutions to empower families, helping them balance their energy and resources effectively. Whether you are new to AT or seeking fresh ideas, this workshop will provide valuable insights and tools to lighten the load and strengthen family connections.
