Presented by: Nicholas Mian, Ph.D., Licensed Clinical Psychologist

Thursday May 16, 2024, 12:30-1:30 pm - A VIRTUAL GATHERING

Exposure is the cornerstone of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy for anxiety. This technique uses operant conditioning principles to support children through gradual approach of feared situations. Upon completion of this presentation, participants will be able to:

* Describe what exposure is and how it is traditionally done in a CBT context

* Identify other (non-phobic) situations in which exposure can be used

* Describe how exposure practices can be adapted for a variety of situations with young children
